On November 29, 2025, the town of Adjarra, located near Porto-Novo, hosted the inauguration ceremony of three new operating theaters within the Saint Camille hospital. The event took place in the presence of the institution's managers, patients, as well as numerous public and religious authorities.

This inauguration marks an important step in the development of the establishment and demonstrates a renewed commitment to access to care, particularly for the most deprived populations. It also helps to strengthen the visibility of the awareness-raising actions carried out by the hospital.

Thanks to these new infrastructures, the hospital significantly increases its surgical intervention capacities. These blocks will make it possible to effectively support the surgical campaigns organized with the participation of medical missions from Brazil and Italy, thus illustrating active international cooperation in the service of health.

The realization of this project was made possible thanks to the support of several partners, in particular SMA SOLIDALE (Italy), Associazione Konou Konou - Enrico Di Salvo per l'Africa ETS, Associazione JOBEL OdV, as well as many other committed contributors. The establishment also expresses its gratitude to the health authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their support.

Today, the hospital offers a diversified range of care including:
maternity, general medicine, ophthalmology, laboratory, ultrasound, dental care, surgery, surgical operations, optical service and pharmacy.
