On Wednesday July 1, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11:20 a.m., the Saint Camille Center in Dassa hosted a conference on mental health, led by manager Grégoire Ahongbonon, accompanied by three expatriate friends: Marco, Anna and Meri.

The event saw strong participation from the staff of the Saint Camille Center in Dassa as well as large numbers of people who came, testifying to the urgency of issues related to mental health in the region.

During this meeting, the speakers presented the different forms of mental illness, provided essential clarifications and shared practical guidelines for better care. Advice was also given to people living with mental disorders, but also to healthy people, in order to raise awareness about prevention.

The main message of this conference was clear: treat people with mental illnesses, prevent psychological disorders in the healthy and mobilize the entire community around this cause which concerns everyone.
